This compelling Canadian drama features Toby Logan (Craig Olejnik), a highly skilled paramedic and a telepath who has been hiding in his whole life. Toby never really knew his parents and grew up in foster care, this coupled with his secret, which he shares with no one, has made him a bit of a loner. Until now, Toby has kept his ability hidden, exploring its possibilities only with his long time mentor and confidente Dr. Ray Mercer (Colm Feore). Making the rounds of Toronto with his energetic paramedic partner Osman “Oz” Bey (Ennis Esmer), THE LISTENER follows Toby as he tries to help people in crisis and in the process heal some of his own wounds. While his professional life is in check, Toby’s personal life could use its own rescue. It’s a good thing he has Oz’s good humour to keep him centred and living in the moment.
